At first I didn't want to do this title out of the three options because it seemed like the easiest and the one that most people would go for. It also seemed like there wasn't much variety to it, but while in Tennessee I saw this sign while walking around and I realized that it fit this prompt pretty well, so I shot right away. It was hard to capture the image because people kept walking by, but once I got it, it was perfect. I really like how it turned out and I also liked the choice of three prompts, to pick which one you like best.

On my trip to Tennessee this weekend, we were walking through Broadway in Nashville and it was incredible. Live music in every bar, people having fun and bright lights everywhere. There was so much to do and I captured this image which is fitting of this prompt. At first, I of course wanted to go for a black and white, creepy-ish photo of blatant shadows, but when I got this picture I absolutely loved that there are subtle shadows, and you can still have brightness/fun with shadows involved.
This prompt was kind of hard for me because I usually like to photograph the creepier, darker side of things because there's just so many options but this was a good change of pace. I couldn't really think of much to do and normally I don't like to photograph the sunset either because it's just very common and a lot of sunset pictures are edited to make them look more vibrant which in contrast makes the rest of sunset pictures pale in comparison, but I really liked this one that I took on the way to Tennessee and it fit the theme well. It also reminds me of all the good family trips and car rides, so it really did turn out to be our little happiness.
I liked this idea of a prompt, but I knew a lot of people would be using the ghost with glasses trend that was going around, so I tried to do something different. I didn't really know what to do, but I was babysitting late the other night and saw the baby sleeping with her blanket pulled over her face, so I thought that even though it didn't exactly fit the prompt, I could make it work. It was hard to take a picture of an electronic because of the reflection and the angle that I had to take the picture at. I also didn't like it because it felt like taking a picture of a picture, but in the end I think it worked out alright.
This prompt idea came pretty quickly to me. I shot right in my room so the location was easy, however the lighting wasn't the best and it took a couple tries to find the right angle. I had the dried flower in my room already so when I saw it, everything kind of just clicked into place. It fit with the word 'purpose' in my head. Beautiful, but layered with thorns. Pretty and dangerous. Misleading?Maybe. Who knows. Out of context, this image could have any backstory, which is what I love so much about photography in general. What even is purpose, and how does it relate to this image? We may never truly know.
